You might be probably didn't know on How to use your USB Flash Drive as a RAM? I am going to guide you through the step by step tutorial and tool that will be using your USB storage as a RAM. Though windows supports virtual paging file which uses your harddisk as a temporary RAM. But if you are working on notebook or netbook with lower RAM then Virtual RAM will boost up the hard disk usage.

Therefore, using your USB storage device as RAM can be one of the best alternative for your real RAM.



Here we go! Step by step tutorial on How to convert your USB Flash Drive into RAM:
  1. First of all, you’ll need to download this file, Eboostr (Trial Version). Sorry but I will not provide a full version or crack, for my security reason.
  2. After you downloaded it. You must Install it to your Windows Computer. Note: You need to make it full version to be able to use full function.
  3. After installation, it is compulsory to reboot your computer.
  4. Insert your USB flash drive first then open eBoostr from start menu. 
  5. In the program window, go to Edit > Add new cache device.

  6. You’ll see your USB disk at the left screen. Select it and click "Use this Device for Caching". Then click Apply.

  7. After you click Apply it will begin to process your USB Flash Drive as RAM. It might takes several seconds or minutes depend on your USB speed and size.

  8. After the process completed, click ok. Another window will pop up and asking you like this "Do you want to build the cache file on this device now?". Just click Yes.

  9. You have successfully caching the memory in your USB Flash drive.

  10. Alternatively, you can also click on Autoconfiguration button.

  11. Program will diagnose your system. After the diagnose is ended, click next.

  12. Choose all the recommended option to increase your system performance and click Next.

  13. Now program will start to cache your memory. You may feel some difference in your windows performance.

  14. This software requires USB device more than 256 MB.
Note: It stores the current memory as a cache in your USB Flash drive. Eboostr stores cache of your frequently used applications on your USB Flash drive. It will help to reduce the Hard Disk access which is comparatively slower as compared to access in chips. Since hard disk requires motor to rotate the disks, it will also consume a lot of your battery.
